Sr. Labor Relations Representative

Job Description

Come join a Company where every individual can find purpose, thrive and succeed. Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) in Tucson, AZ is currently hiring for a Sr. Labor Relations Representative. The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated success in managing conflict and resolving labor-management issues. They should possess the ability to propose solutions to complex labor-management matters in a way that aligns Labor Relations (LR) and business strategies. They must be capable of conducting various types of investigations and making recommendations to management on employment actions. Additionally, the successful candidate must foster a strong customer service orientation, work collaboratively on teams and consult effectively across different levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

•Administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and act as an internal consultant to management in the interpretation of CBA language, disciplinary recommendations and employee counseling.
•Acts as the Human Resources Representative for all hourly employees of Raytheon Missile & Defense (RMD) Tucson site on issues such as payroll changes, benefits, leave of absence and other miscellaneous matters.
•Runs reports, maintains HR systems, develops metrics and analyzes data.
•Investigates and writes position statements for employee relations matters for the represented workforce.
•Prepares for and facilitates small and large group training to supervision and the bargaining unit on labor relations topics.
•May participate in conducting presentations at hearings and may represent the company in dealings with governmental agencies.
•Prepares for and studies language changes for labor negotiations.
•Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding all Labor Relations issues.
•Possess and maintain familiarity with federal and state employment and labor laws and regulations.
•Participates in and promotes a team environment by working with own organization and other organizations in the accomplishment of team responsibilities and objectives.
•Develops solutions to complex problems that require regular use of ingenuity and creativity
•May be required to work with off-site RMS locations to maintain self-represented status.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

•Four (4) years of related experience with a Bachelor Degree, or two (2) years of related experience with a Master Degree or zero (0) years of experience with a Juris Doctorate Law Degree.
•Possess strong coaching, counseling, conflict resolution and/or problem-solving abilities.
•Ability to interpret, administer and execute policies and procedures that typically affect hourly represented employees.
•Strong presentation, verbal and/or written communication and/or ability to act with poise and tact while dealing with employees, the union, and various levels of management.
•Basic understanding of labor and employment law principles and/or Human Resources policies and procedures.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Desired Skills

•Past experience with Data Warehouse or experience creating and maintaining reports.
•Possess excellent investigative, researching, analytical and data analysis skills.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to use sound judgement and decision-making.

Minimum Education Requirements:

A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labor Relations or related field. Or higher education to include Master’s Degree or a J.D., Juris Doctorate Degree.
